Many flight schools offer a discovery flight or introductory flight. This is intended to be a quick overview of the flying experience and what training will be like. This is a preview of the excitement and knowledge that you will gain over the course of pilot training. If you are thinking about visiting a flight school but aren’t yet ready to commit, come on out and try an introductory flight with one of our instructors. An introductory flight costs $100 and is performed in the flight school’s Cessna 172.
You will take off from the Edmond airport and fly for approximately an hour with the instructor. You can choose to fly or just enjoy the ride and watch. The time that you spend with the instructor will be officially logged as flight training time and when you decide to proceed will go towards the total number of hours you must have as a minimum to get your license (40 hours).
